【摘要】:Separationofthevehiclefromthepigmentinsolvent-reduciblepaintsisrequiredinordertocharacterizepaintvehiclesbychemical,spectroscopic,orchromatographictechniques.Characterizationofvehiclesisimportantsincetheyplayamajorroleintheperformanceofcoatings.1.1Thispracticecoverstheprocedurefortheseparationofthevehiclefromthepigmentinsolvent-reduciblepaint.1.2Inthedevelopmentofthepracticethefollowingmaterialsweretested:whitesoyaandwhitefishoilisophthalicalkydsemi-glossenamels,whitelinseedoilpaint,whitesoyaandwhitelinseedo-phthalicalkydenamels.Itisconsideredtobeapplicabletosimilarmaterials.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
