【摘要】:Thistestmethodmeasurestheinitialfiltrationefficiencyofmaterialsusedinmedicalfacemasksbysamplingrepresentativevolumesoftheupstreamanddownstreamlatexaerosolconcentrationsinacontrolledairflowchamber.Thistestmethodprovidesspecifictesttechniquesforbothmanufacturersanduserstoevaluatematerialswhenexposedtoaerosolparticlesizesbetween0.1and5.0x03BC;m.Thistestmethodestablishesabasisofefficiencycomparisonbetweenmedicalfacemaskmaterials.Thistestmethoddoesnotestablishacomprehensivecharacterizationofthemedicalfacemaskmaterialforaspecificprotectiveapplication.Thistestmethoddoesnotassesstheoveralleffectivenessofmedicalfacemasksinpreventingtheinwardleakageofharmfulparticles.Thedesignofthemedicalfacemaskandtheintegrityofthesealofthemedicalfacemasktothewearer''sfacearenotevaluatedinthistest.Thistestmethodisnotsuitableforevaluatingmaterialsusedinprotectiveclothingfordeterminingtheireffectivenessagainstparticulatehazards.Ingeneral,clothingdesignisasignificantfactor,whichmustbeconsideredinadditiontothepenetrationofpenetrationofparticulates.1.1Thistestmethodestablishesproceduresformeasuringtheinitialparticlefiltrationefficiencyofmaterialsusedinmedicalfacemasksusingmonodispersedaerosols.1.1.1Thistestmethodutilizeslightscatteringparticlecountinginthesizerangeof0.1to5.0x03BC;mandairflowtestvelocitiesof0.5to25cm/s.1.2Thetestproceduremeasuresfiltrationefficiencybycomparingtheparticlecountinthefeedstream(upstream)tothatinthefiltrate(downstream).1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsorinotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.1.4Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section10,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
