【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscovercord-connected,electrically-operatedgardeningappliances,suchascultivators,edger-trimmers,andthelike,rated250voltsorlessforuseinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70.1.2Theserequirementsalsocoverbattery-operatedgardeningappliances.1.3Theserequirementsdonotcoversprayers,foggers,orequipmentforuseinhazardouslocationsasdefinedintheNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70.1.4Theserequirementsdonotcoverelectricallyoperatedlawnmowersorgardentractorsortheirattachments.1.5Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisstandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffireorofelectricshockorinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementstomaintainthelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisstandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisstandarddoesnotcomplywiththisstandard.Revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisstandard.
